Very Good

Great privacy in the cubicles, and excellent location (in the middle of centro). Not really a social atmosphere for solo travelers when we were there (and mainly Spanish speaking guests), but as long as you’re fine with that then the hostel is good

Way too few toilets!!! All were occupied at almost any time of the day. It could also be a good idea to separate toilets from showers to shorten the waiting time

Backpacker hotel with good standards

It's a backpacker hotel with fair prices, it's for a maximum stay of 1-2 nights before you want your privacy back. The breakfast is simple but good. We stayed in a "private" twin room which was included in the large dorms. There was a whole day without power during our stay, it wasn't the hotels fault though, there was a power cut throughout the area.

The community areas are very small and the jacuzzi ist so welcoming arranged. There could be some more bathrooms for the demand of people but no bigger complaints.

Wonderful

Great location, great air conditioning, nice bathrooms. Love the privacy.

Some people giggle loudly/play music loud at night/do not flush the toilet but I guess that's not the hostel's fault.

Great location in the central area. Quiet room and bed with great air conditioning. Clean room and spacious toilet.

Good for an older group not staying for long

Great location. The beds were as private as I’ve gotten in a hostel.

There were plenty of people but it was difficult to socialize if that’s what you want. Also 3 bathroom’s in one room that holds 30 people

Good rooms, bad organization.

The co-work space was a plus for me. The beds were very comfortable, the space was big enough to have all your stuff inside with you and they have black out roller curtains Staff at the reception were nice. Bathrooms were usually clean.

Only 3 bathrooms/showers for too many beds, you could be in line for a shower for half an hour or more. The staff would start cleaning beds at 7am, it was crazy, they were very loud, moving everything around and talked to each other inside the rooms as if they were out on the streets at 3pm, no respect for people sleeping, even on january 1st when most people went to bed late. There was only one person making breakfast for dozens of people, it was super slow (not her fault of course) and it started at 7.30 when most tours start at 8, so you had 20 people standing in the kitchen waiting for their breakfast that they had to eat in one bite and standing up (only like 8 seats at the table) around other people seating, so they wouldn't be late, why not just start that at 7 and have more staff doing that instead of cleaning the dorms first?

The location, because you can easily get around the most emblematic places in Cartagena by walking. Breakfasts are available and the portion of fruit varies every day.

Wonderful

The location was perfect, the room was tidy and clean.

Just 3 bathrooms with integrated shower to share with many people. It means that if 3 people are showering, there is no toilet available for many minutes. It is not a big problem if you stay just a couple of nights (we were there 2 nights), but it could be annoying for longer stays. We didn't get a towel, we had to use our towels.

Efficient stay for the old town

Perfectly placed in the middle of the old town, it’s perfect as base camp to explore around. We had a private bathroom and the room did its job as a cheap night in a good spot. Would recommend!

Very comfortable and good value

Pods are nice and very spacious. If you pull down the shade it's like you have your own private room. Solid AC is a welcome treat in the hot, humid climate of Cartagena. All areas of the hostel are air conditioned (not just the dorms as in some other hostels). The hostel is located right in the center of the historical district so you're right in the thick of the action. The staff is SUPER friendly, helpful and easy to talk to. Property is very nicely decorated and has a dark, funky, retro vibe.

My bed was really close to a balcony door facing the main street. The door was not at all sound proofed and the noise coming from the street didn't die down until 2am. If you're a light sleeper, ask for a bed further away from the main street. There were only 3 bathrooms in our part of the hostel (more than 30 beds) and they were often fully occupied (especially in the morning). Not a big deal unless you have to go really badly but i feel like this could have been planned out a little better (maybe separate the showers from the toilets).

Cartagena hermosa e inolvidable at The Clock Hostel

I liked the location close to the historic places of Cartagena!

I was missing orange juice and more variety for breakfasts and the doors of the barhrooms need to be repaired.

Okay for 1 night, great location.

Incredible location, right in the centre of Cartagena! Bed was comfortable and breakfast great!

The walls in the bathroom have been covered in mastik, I don’t know if it wasn’t dry or if it needed to set but it came off on your hands and belongings and was very hard to get off… and the shower was cold although they embrace it.

Comfy beds, blinds for privacy, good breakfast and amazing location in historic centre.

The aircon in dorm was freezing, I used 2 blankets and still was cold.

Good value for money.

I liked that everyone had it’s private box. And was breakfast what I didn’t count on.

No hot water, but what I heard it’s same in other hostels around. Some staff do not speak any word english.

they have some local taxes that are not mentioned when you book it. when I did the reservation it said it included taxes and everything but they charge some more during the check in

Very good

The staff are all lovely and helpful. I can't recall names but, one lady who made breakfast most mornings who always had a smile on her face made my mornings. The location is perfect, ideal for all the main locations.

One of the shared bathrooms was not working which obviously increased waiting times. There was a staff member who would clean the bathrooms early hours but very loudly. Playing music on one occasion. Day staff were helpful and was quieter on my last few days.

It's all around amazing except for long bathroom queues.

The hostel itself was very cool, allowed us to check in early, and had so many amazing facilities. The hot tub, washing service (very affordable), work spaces, and kitchen was amazing. It is so central and easy to get where you need to go. The beds were really comfortable, and the bunk beds made from storage containers made you feel as if you had your own private room rather than at a hostel.

The queues to the bathroom were very long. They only had three bathrooms (not all that was working) and a downstairs toilet. I woke up at 5 a.m., and there was still a queue as only one bathroom worked. If you wanted to shower in the morning, you had to get up extra early.

The ladies that make breakfast are very sweet and attentive. Location is good.

When I arrived, the guy at reception didn’t look like he’s interested at showing me around or explaining where everything is. He didn’t tell me a word about breakfast so I had to figure it out myself. I was given a towel (which was clean) and a blanket that clearly hasn’t been washed after a previous guest as it was full of hair. Disgusting. Also, there are only 3 bathrooms for so many beds so often you have to wait for a long time to use one. Plus, they need to be cleaned more often.
